Just like you, I juggle different responsibilities. A wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and a woman pursuing my dreams… each of those joyful roles requires time, energy and effort. As I raised my children and built a career in training, speaking and teaching leadership and teambuilding, I realized that everyone, including me, continually strives for balance. Sometimes navigating work, family, finances, self, etc.. can pull us out of balance and especially in today’s world, we can feel a bit overwhelmed. I know I did. We all know that phrase, you cannot give away what you don’t have. At some point I realized, that in order for me to “give” my best while teaching others to be their best, I had to define what feeling “well” meant for me. Discovering “self-care” before it was a thing, and that it didn’t necessarily mean scheduling a monthly massage (though that would have been amazing!). When my children were young, I had neither the time nor the money on what felt like was a luxury. I could, however, take care of my body, mind, heart, and soul in ways that made sense for me. And I did want to help empower people to take charge of their own wellbeing in more than one way. Wellness is more than one thing, and it’s different for everyone.
The world has evolved in so many ways, and so dramatically in the last 25 years. Between the wireless world, and all the ramifications both good and bad, that technology brings, the domino effect of Big Pharma, and many other influences, our country, and our world still have a long way to go when it comes to living a life of true wellness.
I wanted to create a legacy where Wellness meant more because I believe the world really needs each of us to be more of who we were meant to be. Curating tools, products, and resources that meet people wherever they are in their wellness journey and make a significant difference. We are redefining wellness and have created a community and movement of empowered people who are proactive about their wellbeing. With GIA, Wellness means more than it ever has, because you deserve to “feel more you” and do more of what you were meant to do. Our vision is BIG, redefining wellness for everyone to step into the best version of themselves, so they can enjoy life to the fullest, and make the impact they were meant to make. Your voice does make a difference and we hope you join us!

Growing up in Austria, our family looked to nature for many answers. From my mom, who would use herbs from our garden to make everything from salads to tinctures in an effort to help heal our scrapes and bruises, to relying on nature to enjoy family vacations in the mountains or on pristine lakes. Nature provided a background for us, as well as a foundation upon which a healthy, balanced life was the goal to strive for. Growing up in Europe, wellness retreats and preventing “burnout” from stressful living have been part of health care since I was a child. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, I knew that any company I started would have to also make a difference for others. My first venture helped people deal with the condition of tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and I helped take that medical device company into several different countries before the age of 30. Of course the financial rewards were enjoyable, but the letters and faxes from people whose lives had been vastly improved were by far the most rewarding aspects of what we accomplished. In my family, all three of us siblings forged a career in some aspect of health and wellness. Being the only boy, with two older sisters and a very hard working mother, I learned from an early age that women get things done! Fast forward to when I met my partner and wife Lynda, and needless to say I was inspired by, and in admiration of, her personal success and tremendous business acumen. She is truly a “lady-boss”, with a heart of endless passion and desire, which impressed me to the point where I wanted to do everything in my power to support her tremendous vision. And in that very spirit, we are proud to walk side-by-side as husband and wife, with Lynda as the guiding ‘north star’ of GIA’s mission.
